Save £200 on household bills with energy efficient solutions

It’s apparent that many homeowners are seeing a rise in energy costs. The standard of living is dropping for many families across the UK as low-income homes are set to struggle even more. Many families are unaware of the benefits the UK Government are offering for said low-income groups.

Households can expect to see price cuts of around £200 a year as they receive energy-efficient upgrades.

This Government grant is an instalment of £950 million for home upgrades with the focus on improving household insulation and cutting energy costs.

The scheme forms part of the government’s home upgrade grant scheme. Local authorities across England will be on hand to help improve up to around 4,300 low-income households.

What does this include?

The grant will pay for energy-efficient upgrades such as wall and roof insulation and major upgrades such as low-carbon heating systems, thermostats and heating controls. With the intent to be installed and delivered by 2023.

This scheme will be available to both owned and rented properties.

Additionally, around 1,300 jobs will be made as a result of the green energy sector.
